Though there are no laws regarding tarot professionals and client confidentiality, as a policy, I do keep your identity and the subject matter of your reading private. If I wish to use your reading as an example, I will ask your permission.
There are a few exceptions to this. Under Canadian law, I am obligated to report if I feel a child is being neglected or in danger, or if someone is a threat to themselves or others.
I often do public events and parties. It is not unusual for guests, staff or media to photograph my booth. If I see them about to take a photo, I will ask you, first, but I don’t always have control over this, nor if the videos are posted on social media. If we are at a public event, and you have some serious security concerns, please ask me for a card, and we can arrange a more private meeting to protect your privacy.
You are welcomed to record, make notes and take any photos of our session. You can have anyone sit with you or accompany you as you feel comfortable.
I try my best to be an ally to all genders, orientations, races, ethnicities and religions. However, for safety purposes, I prefer to conduct sessions with cis straight men whom I have never met via skype or in public.
I enjoy reading for youth, and find they have so much potential. However, I insist that a parent or guardian be present for children under 14. For youth 14-16, I require that a parent or guardian give verbal consent (over the phone is fine). For youth 16-18, I prefer to conduct the session via Skype if the client prefers privacy.
You can tell me as much or as little information as you feel comfortable telling me. Though I am highly intuitive, I am not a telepath, nor am I omniscient. I cannot tell you what number you are thinking of, or your grandmother’s shoe size. I can though, address main themes of the past, present and future, and work with you to identify your blocks to achieving your highest potential. My goal is to be honest with you, but leave you better than how I found you. I believe that you are in control of your destiny. and that we can create an action plan to change any outcome you do not like. Therefore, I will never answer a question about when you are going to die. In all the years that I have worked in health care and in tarot, I have never seen an expiry date stamped on someone.
Some of the decks that I use contain mild nudity. If you have children present, or this offends you, I am happy to choose a more appropriate deck. I have dozens of decks to choose from, including a Gummy Bear deck, and The Wild Unknown Tarot, which depicts gorgeous drawings of animals.
Life is complicated, and sometimes we have delicate issues. I have no issues discussing sensitive topics if you are okay with this. I will not turn you away if you have a diagnosis. However, if I feel that your needs outweigh my expertise, I am quick to refer you to your medical professional.
As a rule, I do not take same day appointments. This is to ensure that I am on my A-game and can give you my full attention during our session.
