I am a woman of many talents, and I enjoy offering a variety of my services to my clients. I am always learning and adding new skills to my repertoire. I often get asked, “I want a reading, but which service should I book?”
Palmistry- I first started reading palms when I was 12 years old, after finding a book in the library of my small town public school. The fact that they had any books on the occult in a school of such a conservative community in itself was surprising. I gobbled up the book’s contents, and started reading the lines of grubby little hands on the playground. The skill fell by the wayside until an agent in Toronto needed to hire a palm reader for a party. I quickly offered my services, and crammed palmistry books like I had not done since university. Shortly after, I started offering my services professionally to clients.
Palmistry examines the lines on the palm, as well as the shape of the hands and fingers, and the texture of the skin. You can tell a lot about a person by examining their hands. Did you know, our hands change throughout the course of our lives? Obviously, we get callouses on our hands with manual labour. But the lines on our hands change, too, depending on how we hold our hands. Much like our fingerprints, every palm is different. Not everyone has all the main lines. Some may have two destiny lines, where others may not have one at all. Palmistry gives a good summary of a person’s personality, as well as major events in their life, latent talents, relationships, and life direction. It can sometimes show long term health issues. It can give a good idea of whether you are on the right path, or whether you need to change directions. However, doesn’t really answer specific timely questions. In general, I do not time my palm readings, but rather, read until I run out of lines. Palmistry is great for parties and outdoor venues. All I need is shade from the sun (I burn easily) adequate light, sound I don’t need to yell over, and some hand sanitizer (I usually have some in my kit).
Tea Leaves (Tasseomancy)- I have always been a tea lover, so this was a natural progression. About 10 years ago, I took a class with my friend Amy-Lou Taylor in Hamilton. She has been teaching and reading tea leaves full time for almost a quarter century. It was an honour to be her student. I picked up the skill quite naturally, and quickly added it to my services. For tea leaf readings, I use a specific shape of cup, called the Celestial Dome. The cup is divided into a grid. It takes me a moment to settle into the cup, and relax my eyes until shapes and messages appear, sort of like one of those magic eye puzzles (“Oh look, it’s a sailboat!”). There are traditional meanings of shapes, and then there are more subjective meanings. For instance, a butterfly in your cup traditionally means success and pleasure. My subjective meaning of a butterfly is about personal growth and change. A client of mine lost her mother who loved butterflies, and in her wedding photos, a butterfly appeared in almost every shot, to her meaning that her mother was present on her wedding day. When a butterfly showed up in her cup, she started to tear up, and felt it was a sign from her mother that she loved her and was watching over her.
Tasseomancy is great for looking at the big picture of your life, where you have been, and where you are going. Tasseomancy can show financial health, travel, wounds that need healing, as well as important messages from your own soul and beyond. Sometimes letters and numbers can show up in readings. One client was considering a move, and had narrowed down her options to a few houses. A letter P showed up in the near future positive area of the cup. I was unaware, but the house she favoured over her husband was on a street that began with P. They soon after purchased that house. But if you are coming for a reading to have a specific question answered, it may not show up in the cup. I do not time my tea leaf readings. I want my client to enjoy their tea, and not feel rushed. I read until I run out of shapes. Tasseomancy can be great for indoor parties, and private readings. For parties, I bring my own tea, tea cups and saucers, as well as a kettle, and table cloth to catch any mess from dumping the tea cup. However, I do need access to electricity for my kettle, drinking water, and a kitchen to wash the dishes at the end. Having a tea leaf reading done requires you to drink a cup of tea with loose leaves in it. I tend to use peppermint tea or rooibos tea for readings as the leaves are small and uniform, so you get lots of shapes. You need to drink until the leaves can be swished around and stick to the sides, which is usually until there is about a teaspoon of liquid left. Yes, the leaves can get stuck in your teeth (I will tell you before you walk away). If you have a lot of texture issues, than I would maybe recommend another service.
Tarot- Tarot is great for answering questions. Tarot is a language. For me, I feel like I am having a conversation between your higher self, and my higher self. Though it may not be concerned with names and dates, it can accurately depict themes. Different cards in combination can mean different things. And I can always pull more cards to address an issue in more depth. I typically have a deck in my purse, but I also collect tarot decks, and own several dozen. My primary deck is the Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti. https://amzn.to/2sqwU5h . There is some mild nudity in the deck, but done very tastefully. If this is an issue, I am happy to use one of my other decks for children, or the more delicate. There is the Gummy Bear Tarot, which is the RWS deck with gummi bears instead of the traditional characters https://amzn.to/2TmsgjK . Another great all ages deck is The Wild Unknown deck which depicts gorgeous line drawings of animals on each card https://amzn.to/30mXuIM . Or, for bachelorette parties, I have the DeCameron deck, which is very naughty, and has a LOT of adult content https://amzn.to/2TnQ6vr . I can read tarot any time, any place, provided I have adequate lighting and do not need to yell over music. For outdoor events I require shade, as I burn quite easily. Windy days are not conducive to outdoor tarot. To be honest, I am most talented at tarot.
